  • Am I eligible?
  • There are grades of membership for everyone.
  • To join as a certified member, you’ll need to have achieved the European Certified Data Protection Officer (ECDPO) Certification. Find out more here. If you haven’t achieved ECDPO, you’ll need to pass an online knowledge test.
  •   You’ll also need to pass a peer interview and commit to doing continuous professional development every year.
  •   If you haven’t completed the ECDPO, you will be eligible instead for Associate membership.
  • How to join?
  • Joining couldn’t be more straightforward.
  • It should take you less than five minutes.
  • 1.  Fill in the short online application
  • 2.  We’ll ask you to agree to a Code of Conduct of professional responsibility
  • 3.  Pay for your first year’s membership (there are no joining fees)
  •   We’ll just double check your eligibility and be in touch to arrange your entry interview. You’ll be able to enjoy your membership benefits straight after being granted membership.
